With much of last year being cancelled, people are looking forward to celebrating again and what better way to do just that than with 4th of July in Ocean Grove? Ocean Grove Independence Day weekend
This year, during Independence Day weekend, the town of Ocean Grove will light up with family-fun events and the Annual Independence Parade.
The excitement begins on July 2nd with the community event in Auditorium Square Park. There will be food trucks, activities and a DJ.
On July 3rd, Ocean Grove will hold their Annual Independence Day Parade at 10:30 a.m., followed later that evening with the Patriotic Concert at the Great Auditorium.
Asbury Park fireworks on July 4th
What’s 4th of July without fireworks? The display in Asbury Park has been around for over 100 years and is a big part of New Jersey’s culture. As such, setup is extensive and requires a lot of manpower. Come and experience the results for yourself!
Note: The annual 4th of July fireworks in Asbury Park kicks off at dusk (about 9 p.m.) on the Second and Fourth Avenue beaches. Parking is scarce; we recommend leaving your car in Ocean Grove and taking the short, easy walk to Asbury Park.
Stroll the Boardwalk
You don’t have to wait until the fireworks start to have fun! Drive to the shore a few days early and experience the excitement of the Asbury Park Boardwalk. There’s plenty to do, and like Asbury’s 4th of July celebration, the boardwalk has a longstanding history at the Jersey Shore.
Check out a live music performance at the renowned Paramount Theater, or have some family-friendly fun at the Silverball Museum, the best pinball machine museum in the country.
