I encouraged my wedding guests to stay at the Ocean View Inn and the Ocean Plaza and people liked both venues. The Ocean Plaza is prettier from the outside and the Ocean View Inn is more modern and beautiful on the inside I think. Both are really nice, though. The bridal party stayed in the penthouse suite in the Ocean View inn the night before our wedding and we got ready in there the day of the wedding. The room is really big, we slept 5 comfortably but you probably could have slept 2 more people. There was plenty of room for 3 hair stylists, 2 photographers, my parents, and 12 ladies the day of too:) [Vicki] was easy to deal with and helpful, she suggested vendors to us before the wedding and offered us an entire refrigerator to store the wedding flowers in overnight as the bridesmaids and my aunt did all the flowers ourselves the day before the wedding. When the girls arrived the fridge was stocked with water bottles for us as well as cookies and grapes for treats. It was a nice surprise! My husband and I spent our wedding night here too and really enjoyed it. The breakfast is decent and the eating area is really cute. We had a lot of our "getting ready" photos taken there and I think they will look great. I would highly recommend this place. Ocean Grove is adorable, too!

The Ocean View Inin was just perfect!!!! We loved everything about it! We stayed in the beautiful penthouse suite. It was perfect for me and the kids. The room was clean and well furnished. The bed in the bedroom was so comfy! The entire staff was so kind and so helpful. Breakfast overlooking the beautiful Ocean Pathway and ocean was perfect. There were a lot of great choices to eat and being welcomed by Ann every morning was so special. The kindness shown to the guests was wonderful from the provided beach towels everyday to the nice touches in the room. Ocean Grove is a lovely charming town and the Ocean View Inn was perfectly located. We didn't have to drive anywhere. We will certainly go back. I highly recommended the ocean view inn :) it was just perfect!

I spent a long weekend at The Ocean Plaza July 17-21. IT WAS PERFECT! This big, beautiful B&B is located just several Victorian houses away (about a three minute walk) from the oceanfront, situated on Ocean Pathway, an airy and attractive wide avenue in the heart of Ocean Grove. Rick was friendly and knowledgeable about all of the local cafés and restaurants, beaches, events, groceries, liquor runs, town history, and even several of the regular and returning guests.
My room had two queen beds, with thick, soft, luxurious comforters. Room temperature was well-maintained with AC and a ceiling fan. They even offer Bath and Body Works travel-sized soaps, lotion, and shampoo. The house was relaxing and quiet; I know there were small children staying, but I never heard a peep from children or any other guests.
Anne, who oversaw the continental breakfast on the breezy, wrap-around second floor porch, made sure the coffee was always full, and the pastries, fruit, yogurt and other breakfast items were always fresh and replenished. She always had a smile on her face and a minute to chat.
Having large, clean beach towels, folded, warm and fresh from the dryer every morning, was a HUGE convenience! No damp, sandy beach towels to leave lying around or pack at day's end! [...] We were able to purchase discounted beach tags at the front desk; [...] borrowed beach chairs when they were available, and enjoyed free parking! Best of all, we never moved our car for the five days we were there! Just a few blocks down from us, Main Street offered several meal venues - sidewalk dining, ice cream, deli-style, gourmet, and, of course, pizza at The Pizzaria. I also shopped in the many boutique, antique and art shops there. Asbury Park was a short ten minute walk in one direction, where live music was playing at the Stone Pony Summer Stage, and we ate and drank delicious food and cocktails at Stella Marina and Watermark. Bradley Beach was a 20 minute walk in the other direction, where we met friends for the day. Supplies, groceries, and beer and spirits were a 15 minute walk and a hop across the main road.
Rick, Vicki, and Anne, along with the housekeeping staff, made this one of the best short vacations I have had in years!

Ocean Grove, NJ is an oasis. Tucked in to a little piece of the Jersey Shore, it has remained pretty much the way it's been for 100 years. The homes, hotels, B&B's are maintained so well, you'd think they were built last year. The Ocean Plaza is no exception. The rooms are elegantly decorated, and very, very comfortable. The staff is friendly, gracious, and welcoming. There is a front porch where you can sit for hours. Shopping and dining are a few blocks away, and the beach is 200 yards up the street. You won't want to go home. Thank you, Ocean Plaza, for an absolutely DELIGHTFUL weekend!!!

Our group of 20 stayed in various rooms at the Ocean Plaza for Bridgefest 2014. ALL of us raved each morning about how comfortable the beds were and how rested we all felt. Rooms and bathrooms are very clean. Breakfast choices offered from 8 a.m. through 11 a.m. on the 2nd floor porch were refreshing with something to accommodate everyone and includes a great view of the Ocean Grove boardwalk pavilion and Atlantic ocean to the right AND the GRAND AUDITORIUM to the left. Once parked, wonderful eateries and shops are all within walking distance from the Plaza - no need to drive anywhere. So stop searching and just book the Ocean Plaza and enjoy a wonderful stay in beautiful Ocean Grove. Say hi to Rick and Vicky at the hotel desk. So eager to please! We can't wait until next time.

We have been going to the Ocean Plaza in Ocean Grove for a few years now- with family and friends, both Spring and summer . Love the hotel , especially the Bradley Suite! Traditional rooms are nice too! Good breakfast, great location , fair prices! Ocean Grove is a little haven! Good restaurants and shops and near enough to Asbury Park to walk or bike! Boardwalk is also great for walking and biking when allowed .

My husband and I just came from a relaxing 2 night stay at the Ocean Plaza. Everything about it was wonderful! Short walk to the beach & a 10 minute stroll up the boardwalk to asbury park's nightlife. The Inn had all the creature comforts - porch with rocking chairs & couches, more than adequate continental breakfast (complimentary) and nice accommodations. Thick towels & upscale toiletry items. Fridge in the room to keep wine cool ( OG is a dry town - all restaurants are BYOB). We'll definitely be back!

As usual, our stay at The Ocean Plaza this past week was very satisfying. The room was beautiful and welcoming. It was appointed with lovely art. The bedding was new and extremely comfortable. The state of the art coffee/tea maker and in room refrigerator made it possible to relax in the room for an extended period. Both the bedroom and the bathroom were clean and fresh, as was the linen. The living room was tastefully decorated...The innkeepers were friendly and accommodating."

This was my family's first time at Ocean Grove and we couldn't have found a better spot, particularly for the price. It's only two blocks from the beach. Our room was nice & clean with a tasty breakfast and good coffee. It's also 10 minutes tops walking to Asbury Park, which opens up a slew of great restaurants to eat at and a fun boardwalk to walk around. OG also has a cute downtown with enough there that one doesn't really need to go outside the town.
